This original design was created and executed by lead artist Adriana M. Garcia in collaboration
with artist, Michelle Love, NVC faculty members Dr. Sandra D. Garza, Coordinator of Mexican
American Studies, Rachael Bower, Arts Coordinator, and Tim Jones, Professor of Fine Arts. The
mural was completed with the help of NVC students, community members, and students from
neighboring colleges and high schools. Special thanks to the Henry Ford Academy and SAY SÍ,
their teachers, staff, and students, and Judy Camargo, Director of College and Grants
Development at Northwest Vista College.
