Recent Works

includes collaborating with the World Heritage Center (WHC), the City of San Antonio (COSA), and architecture team Muñoz and Dunaway on the design enhancement of the veranda that encloses the new WHC building. Additionally, Garcia’s design for a gathering circle, requested by the community, will be constructed on the same grounds in spring 2025.

I am a Chicana muralist from the west-side of San Antonio, Texas. My portraits, murals, illustrations document lives, particularly those of my ancestors. I paint as a way to honor my community’s existence. Using traditional image-making methods as well as new applications I provide a visual articulation of our stories.
